What does “Talos” mean?
In Greek mythology, Talos was a giant bronze automaton built to patrol the island of Crete three times a day. He defended the island from invaders, hurling massive boulders at hostile ships.

Legend also tells that Talos used immense heat to destroy his foes. In a modern sense, we focus on a different kind of enemy: junk cars. These unsafe, abandoned, or inoperable vehicles pose risks to motorists and communities alike. By buying, removing, and recycling them, we help make the roads of Illinois safer. This work is not only our core business but an integral part of our corporate social responsibility (CSR).
